The Best Light

Treat your friends as you do your pictures and place them in the best light.

Jennie J. Churchill

Looking for the best in those around us -whether in the home, out in town, or on social media – can turn someone’s day around. We never know what others are dealing with behind closed doors. The family member, the co-worker, the neighbor, the waitress, the cashier, the teacher, the pastor – they have needs and strengths, too. Compliment, love, be generous in encouragement.

Romans 15:5-6, “Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

  1. This is so true but sometimes so hard to remember with who we see as difficult people.
God does not see them as difficult so why should we. You are so right, our circumstances make each of us react differently depending on what we are going through.
My motto is “If I have a choice of being right or kind.
    I choose kind.
    Thanks for the reminder.

    1. I read a quote recently which said, “Where there is anger, there is always pain underneath”. It’s something that has been on my mind lately as I think about difficult relationships. Anger, resentment, bitterness, a troubled spirit in a person…there is probably some hurt underneath there. “The God of patience and consolation” – may He grant us His lens to see others as He does.
